Mify Pack Record
Mify Pack Record is a Shopify app that records a short video while you pack an order, links it to that order automatically, and gives you a link on your own store's domain that customers can open without logging in — visual proof of what went into the box when a "missing" or "damaged" claim comes in.

Who it’s for
Stores that ship physical goods and lose money to “it never arrived the way it should” claims:
- “The box was empty” or “an item was missing.” The video shows each item going into the box.
- “I got the wrong product.” The video shows exactly what was packed for that order.
- “It arrived damaged.” The video shows the item’s condition when it left.
- Stores that want to show care. A packing video in the shipping email shows a real person prepared the order.
Recording
- Open Record Video in the app to see your orders, with tabs for unfulfilled, fulfilled and all orders, and a search box. Press Record on the order you are packing.
- Or start from the order itself: the Record Packing Video action on the Shopify order page shows whether the order already has a video, and opens the recorder for it.
- The recorder opens in its own browser window and uses your device’s camera, preferring the back camera. Videos are up to 60 seconds and have no sound.
- Each video is saved against its order, so finding it later is a lookup by order number.
Storage
- The first 50 videos are stored in the app’s own storage.
- After that, connect Google Drive. New videos are saved to a “Shopify Order Pack Videos” folder in your own Drive, with a subfolder per month, and are shared so that anyone with the link can view them.
- The Free plan allows 100 videos per month once Google Drive is connected.
Sharing with customers
- Every video gets a link on your store’s own domain (
your-store.com/apps/pack-record/v/…), saved on the order so you and your team can open it from Shopify. - Customers watch the video from that link without logging in.
- To include the link in order emails, copy one of the ready-made snippets from the app’s email settings into your Shopify notification templates (Settings → Notifications). The app does not send emails itself.
- On the Free plan, video links work for 30 days. After that the link shows that the video has expired.
Video library
- Search every video by order number, open it, or delete it.
- A dashboard shows how many videos you recorded this month against your limit, the storage used and the average length.
- Export a CSV of your videos — order number, recording time, length, quality and file size.
Works with
- The Shopify order page (Record Packing Video action)
- A computer or tablet camera in the browser
- Your own Google Drive for video storage
- Shopify order notification emails (via a Liquid snippet)

Frequently asked questions
How do I record a packing video? Open the order in Shopify and choose the Record Packing Video action, or open Record Video in the app and press Record on the order. The recorder opens in its own window; allow pop-ups and camera access for your store’s admin the first time.
What equipment do I need? A computer or tablet with a camera, mounted or held over the packing bench. The recorder uses the back camera when the device has one. It records video without sound.
How long can a video be? Up to 60 seconds. Show the order slip or shipping label first, then each item going into the box and the box being sealed.
Where are the videos stored? Your first 50 videos are kept in the app’s storage. To keep recording after that, connect Google Drive: new videos are saved to a folder in your own Drive, shared so that anyone with the link can view them.
How many videos can I record on the Free plan? 50 in the app’s storage in total, and 100 per month once Google Drive is connected.
How do customers see the video? Each video has a link on your store’s domain, saved on the order. Customers open it without an account. To put it in the shipping or order confirmation email, paste the snippet from the app’s email settings into your Shopify notification templates.
How long do video links work? 30 days on the Free plan; after that the customer page says the video has expired. Videos saved to your Google Drive stay in your Drive, so you keep the file for a dispute that comes in later.
Does a packing video win every chargeback? No. It is strong evidence for “item not received”, “wrong item” and “empty box” claims, but the card issuer decides. Submit it with tracking, proof of delivery and the order details.
Who can watch a video? Anyone who has its link — customers do not need an account. Share video links the way you would share a tracking link.
